you should consider this device before getting any other one.
A Threat for Midrange Players?
If you are confidential with the Huawei Nova 2i then the Huawei
y9 2k18 is not something new for you. Like the Nova 2i this one paces the
industry’s top features like a bezel-less display with 18:9 aspect ratio, quad
cameras , an FHD+screen etc. You can get all these and more specs in a low
price ratio. The Nova 2i is bit expensive comparing to the latest smartphone of Huawei. So is this phone really as good as it looks or something fishy is going
on? Let’s find out

Design:-
The Y9 looks sleek and stylish with huge 5.9-inch screen
wrapped around an aluminum alloy body with an 18:9 aspect ratio.it supports the
resolution of 1080*2160 pixels with IPS capacitive touchscreen. Design wise
this device is very good in shape and it has two front camera lens at its top
side whereas the back also has dual camera option. The down side has an audio jack,
micro USB 2.0 and speakers while the front side has only one mic on it and the
fingerprint sensor is just marked below the back camera
Huawei Y9 has 480 dpi for the clarity of icons and texts and
it is providing us fantastic display in the category of color slots, sharpness,
brightness, and contrast. It also provides 1080*2160 pixels resolution which
are the best for normal usage. The Huawei Y9 supports graphics card of
Mali-T830 MP2 which basically use the 3D games and multitouch has scored full
10 points in it.
Camera of Y9:-
Huawei Y9 has dual 16MP + 2MP back camera lens and 16MP and
13MP dual lens for its front camera. The back camera can record videos in full
1080 pixels while the front one can also record in full 1080 pixels. Let’s look
at both camera lens in detail. Smart/Manual to adjust. The light will be much
softer and natural. Any time you can take a Selfie and night cannot cover your
beauty anymore. Dual camera is standard. Say goodbye to the single camera.
-The 16MP+2MP Rear camera will give artistic bokeh photo
& refocus
The dual back camera lens sounds super good. It is packed
with f/2.2, 24mm, face detection autofocus and LED flashlight. The main
features are geo-tagging, touch focus, face/smile detection, HDR, panorama and
it can record video in 1080p@30fps with HDR. Some main modes are also available
in it such as AR effect, creative effect, and Time shift burst. Professional
mode is also accessible which gives you control over focus, shutter speed, ISO,
exposure compensation and white balance. We have taken some images from back
camera of Huawei Y9. The results are very satisfactory and saturation is very
well used. Intake of pictures and brightness have a very good response. Noise
is very little found in images unless we don’t zoom in the pictures. HUAWEI Y9
2018 packs a studio-level high CRI (color rendering index) smart Selfie toning
flash which produces flattering soft light in low-light or even pitches black conditions.
Huawei has provided us a super-selfie camera phone.
Software and UI:-
The Huawei Y9 2018 comes with Android Oreo 8.0 coupled with
EMUI 8.0. I feel like the UI on Huawei devices is very simple and same is the
case with this one. There are customizable notification icons when you swipe
downwards, you can change sliding transitions. You can get to the smart care
feature by Huawei by swiping to the left, which well was not useful to me.
Performance of Huawei Y9:-
Huawei Y9 has 2.2GHz octa-core processor with the chipset of
HiSilicon Kirin 659. It would be much better if they use Qualcomm chipset, it
is also running smoothly with this chipset. We have tested it in every category
and it has worked brilliantly. The device is packed with 4000 mAh Li-Po fixed
battery and it gives us almost 13-15 consecutive hours of usage. It has 1A
charger with it that will completely charge the device for almost 2 hours.
At last, the Huawei Y9 is an affordable version of the Nova 2i which
is pretty much similar and a bit expensive, but Y9 has dual camera and more
storage option which make it different phone. Including the things I have liked
on this device are design, battery timing and display.
If you are a heavy gamer then Galaxy J7 Duo would be the
best option for you. And if the storage is your concern then there is MI A1
with 64GB storage and pure android.
So, if you ask me if getting this phone is a good decision,
I would say that if storage and gaming performance is not a concern for you
then this device will be on your expectation
